The cover of the Black Cat Mystery comic, n50, from 1954, shock me. In it we see a man as his face and his hands melt due to radioactive contamination. The story is sad, her sick woman needs treatment, the man steals her Radio to save her, and the woman dies, because the Radio that her husband steals was actually her treatment. Beyond this very creepy story, I have imagined this radioactive child, with all the brightly colored body of him. With a jar of candy inside, with a sticker Radium outside.
